Refresh. Rebuild. Be ready.

Why this course?

Designed to rebuild mathematical fluency after the summer break, this week long programme helps students begin IB Mathematics with confidence.

Rather than moving ahead to IB topics, the course focuses on rebuilding the mathematical fluency students need to engage confidently with new ideas from the very first lesson.

What we'll revisit

The mathematical skills that underpin success throughout the IB course.

  • Algebraic fluency

  • Indices and surds

  • Trigonometry

  • Functions

  • Introductory calculus

Weekly Mathematics Programmes

IB Analysis and Approaches

IB Applications and Interpretation

The IB AA course isn't simply about learning techniques. Students develop the ability to recognise patterns, connect ideas across topics, think abstractly and apply calculus and algebra confidently to unfamiliar problems.

IGCSE Mathematics

Success in AI is about far more than using technology. Students learn to interpret real-world situations, select appropriate mathematical models, use technology effectively and communicate meaningful conclusions with confidence.

IGCSE success begins with fluent mathematical skills but develops into confident mathematical thinking. Students strengthen their understanding, communicate their reasoning clearly and tackle unfamiliar problems with increasing confidence.

How the programmes work

Weekly live online lessons in small groups, using interactive mathematical software and a shared online workspace to encourage discussion, collaboration and immediate feedback.

Don't simply learn how to solve mathematical problems. Learn how to think mathematically.

Why Adam Knowles Maths?

Mathematical Thinking

Students learn to recognise patterns, connect ideas and choose appropriate strategies rather than simply memorise procedures. Carefully chosen problems and dynamic mathematical software develop deep conceptual understanding before formal methods are introduced, making ideas more intuitive, memorable and easier to apply in unfamiliar situations.

Collaborative Small-Group Learning

Small groups encourage mathematical discussion, expose students to different ways of thinking and give everyone the confidence to contribute. Seeing multiple approaches helps students become more flexible and independent problem solvers.

Interactive Online Learning

Every lesson takes place on a shared online canvas where students and the teacher write, sketch and solve problems together in real time. This creates a genuinely collaborative classroom where ideas are explored together, feedback is immediate and misconceptions are addressed as they arise.

International Expertise

Led by an experienced international school educator with over 20 years of experience teaching IGCSE, IB HL, IB SL and A-Level students across the UK, Asia, and Europe.
